Brackin Brothers

Judah loves Micah and often says "Dua yuv dis baby" (translation: Judah loves this baby). He constantly wants to touch, hug, and hold Micah. Although Judah's affection can be a little scary at times (we're still learning to be gentle), we couldn't be more proud of his love for his brother.

Micah William - 1 Month Old

Micah is one month old! He is a cuddly little baby and is growing like a weed. We think he looks a lot like his big brother, don't you?

Fun with Nana

Judah and Nana had a great time together during her visit a couple weeks ago. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked, but here is a cute one of the two of them baking cookies.

Micah Meets Nana and Granny

Micah was so excited to meet Nana and Granny this weekend. They brought with them not only some nice warm Alabama weather, but also plenty of hugs and kisses.

A Spring Day at the Park

The weather was beautiful here in New Jersey this Saturday, so we took a quick trip to a local park. Judah's favorite activity is pretending that he is a french fry vendor at Judah's French Fry Stand. In some of the pics you can see his french fry sticks.

We also bumped into a couple of Judah's friends at the park, Martha and Margaret. Martha helped Judah at the Fry Stand while Margaret serenaded customers with some soothing pipe music.

There's also lots of other fun stuff at the park. Here is Judah at the business end of a Flizzle-Flazzle...or is that the Floozle-Snoozle?

Some Judah Tricks

Watching this video made me ask myself if I really wanted a trick pony instead of a child. Either is great, I guess...but I have to admit Judah is pretty special. Plus, I've never seen a trick pony that can play the harmonica, have you?

Return of the Purple Blanket

Here is Micah catching a few (more) ZZZZZs.
The boy is an expert napper.

Judah's First Snowman

Judah and Daddy built a snowman after coming back from a Big-Boys-Only Pancake Breakfast this morning. Judah's favorite part was trying to find a curved stick for the mouth.

Alas, the sun is really warm today and the age old fate of the snowman came tragically soon for our Mr. Frosty...he has already toppled over in the front yard. I guess we will be having the "what happens to snowmen when they melt" discussion sooner than I had hoped.

O-P Pop!

Judah really does know how to spell Pop, but he thinks it is eternally funny to leave off the first "p." Actually...it is pretty funny.

The Brackin Boys

We truly did not appreciate how big Judah had gotten until Micah came along. Judah is such a big boy, and a sweet big brother. Often when lost in some other play, Judah stops suddenly and exclaims, "Where's baby?!!" He then needs to run and find Micah wherever he is...just to make sure he is OK, I guess. Maybe in some way it helps to reconfirm that he is indeed a big brother - which is a thought that really seems to please him.

Also, please note the special purple blanket that Aunt Betsy knitted for Judah. Micah has already stolen it. He has turned out to be quite a cold-natured little guy, so this blanket has come in very handy. It is his most loyal accessory to date - except for Mommy and Daddy, of course. Thanks Aunt Betsy!

Micah - One Week Old

Micah is starting to be awake more during the day and sleep more at night (hallelujah!). Here he is in some cool duds...and only one is a hand-me-down.
