Photos of Judah and Micah for All the People
I was born close to Christmas, so that is why my website title references a Bible verse about THE Christmas baby - Jesus. It is from the story of when the angel announced Jesus' birth to the shepherds, saying...
Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. - Luke 2:10

a red car, a neighbor's go cart, a horse - - you must like to travel!! Lots of fun, huh!!!
Do you get your route from AAA? :+ )
Where did the name Dr. Cook come from?
The short version of the story is that Dr. Cook gave the horse to Judah for his first birthday.
I had the exact same question so I'm glad Anne asked. Sounds like she and I need to get the LONGER version sometime, though! :-)
THE LONG VERSION
Craig Cook, a good friend of ours (some of you may remember him from our wedding party), is currently finishing up medical school in Buffalo and will soon be a real-life doctor. He was visiting us around Judah's first birthday and brought him the horse as a much-too-nice birthday gift. Judah loved the gift immediately and hopped on and dug in his spurs.
This also happened to be about the time that Judah started giving people kisses. As you might imagine, Karen and I loved getting kisses from Judah, and we would ask him for kisses absolutely non-stop.
So...Judah's on the horse riding his little heart out, and Karen says to Judah, "Judah, can you give Dr. Cook a kiss to thank him for your nice present?" Judah stopped bouncing, paused for a thoughtful second, and leaned over and kissed the horse on the head. We have called him Dr. Cook ever since.
AWESOME!! Thanks for the story, W!! :-)
i liked the story too. kt
Hi there! Here I am again!! Isn't it amazing how names and nicknames are achieved over time!
The next time Dr. Cook comes to visit - - it will be interesting to see who Judah gives a kiss to when requested :"Give Dr. Cook a kiss!" :+)
Should make for an intresting visit!!! Louise
